Yeah I sympathize with wanting to just back out. I get drawn into a lot of crap with the folks I have roomed with as well.
You can only tell them "I don't have a dog in this hunt...This isn't my business." so many times before one or both of them are mad at you.
Hang in there. I am sure they will work it out. If not then you will likely be like the father disciplining two fighting kids in the car.
