Current mood: pissed off

To those who chose to question me behind my back.
I've been alerted by a very good friend of mine that there seems to be a few furs in the fandom who are questioning me behind my back. One has been about my sexual orientation and now I hear that I'm being questioned about Dougal. I am furious over this! So to those who are asking these questions, stand forward and ask me and not someone behind my back.

Furrydom is a funny thing... if you don't TELL people things they make assumptions, and they tend to assume 'the worst' whether that thing is 'bad' or not.

I'm glad you're putting it out in the open, though. I just hope it helps.

The fandom is all about anthropomorphics not about being prejudged, having rumors spread around or about sexual orientation. Who knows what other rumors are being passed around about me. But it also makes me sick to see how much attention you'll get if your fursuit has a sheath.

I have a good friend who I've known for a long while who's been through a number of fursona and name changes and has been slammed by the fandom over stuff that wasn't even his fault. It's even been happening to him in Second Life and what's worse is that it's getting out into real life. He's even had his fursuit commission and fursona sold right under him by the suiter who knew that he lost his job and is out of work. It's no wonder why there are haters, trolls, the PNs and griefers because they were once furries and have been through what my friend has been through. Although they're doing something wrong by trying to get back at them but I don't blame them.

well maybe people wouldn't spread rumors if you didn't wear an anatomically correct dragon suit and carry around a plush. As as for your friend, just because he lost his job doesn't mean that he's entitled to a suit that he didn't pay for. being judged is a fact of life, and dressing up as a blue and yellow dragon only makes you a target for judgement. Especially when most people's knowledge of suiters comes from that one CSI episode, or the last sporting event they went to. So if you're a tame dragon, say so; and if you're not, say that too. But if you're gonna guard your sexuality and leave people guessing, they're going to guess. so either start hanging out around stadiums or stop caring about what people think.

Next time read the first initial entry very carefully. I'm talking about furs in the fandom, not everyday people. They have no business questioning one's sexual orientation. What's the big deal to do that?

If my suit was anatomically correct then prove it. Although the suiter makes adult suits and wanted to make it into an adult suit, I hold him "no". Look at the pictures next time before stating that I have an "anatomically correct dragon suit".

As for my friend, he paid $800 and only the head was made. Legally, and not in your own opinion, the head shouldn't have been sold.

"The fandom is all about anthropomorphics not about being prejudged, having rumors spread around or about sexual orientation."

Hon, the fandom has at times ONLY been about rumours and sex and who is on who's short list. Back about 13 years ago or so you might have thought that anthropomorphics was the one thing the fandom was NOT about.

And the "haters, trolls, the PNs and griefers" are generally not people who have been hurt by something that happened within furrydom. They're just sociopaths; they don't need reasons to be jerks...

I hate backstabbers, they spread rumors that are not true. The trolls are that awful in the Otaku Fandom.

The fandom is all about anthropomorphics not sex. If that was not the case then I wouldn't have been in it in the first place. Dougal is a puppet and extension of my character. I've seen other mascots where there's the main character and a puppet. Why don't others seem to see that?

Hi Cornwall!

daww that's a shame peoples talking about you like that, no one should make assumptions about someone they don't know. I don't even know how they could make that assumption, I saw your YouTube vid's and pictures and everything I saw was absolutely G rated. Why can't they see that you're just a cute blue dragon with a lil buddy named Dougal???

Exactly. Unfortunately there's a few out there who choose to twist things around. However, the don't understand and never will.

Agreed, but as long as it's on a positive. From what I've known I've done nothing wrong to be questioned about. I would just prefer it that if someone has something to ask about me, then ask me directly instead of asking other people behind my back.

This is one of the reasons why I wrote a message in my info page on my LJ.

I got tired of the drama and the bitching behind my back. As for the sexual orientation part. I made it clear that I am not Bi or Gay. I've already been asked this. "Love your suit, can we go somewhere at the next furry convention and snuggle?" Oh hell no..

I have been made mad as all hell about this crap too. Many furries suspected Romani and I were mates on a board where he and I were members.

All I can say is stand tough. It will pass. You know your straight. The other furry they think you are having gay encounters with knows your straight. I know you are straight. Eventually when they have expended their energy making stupid rumors, they might wise up and let it be.

This is from someone who was called a queer all through school, so I have some experience with it, fussing and causing a scene might make it worse, not because they think you are lying but because the sick fucks that say this are deriving pleasure from your anger.

Calling out who it might be may be a good way to find out with greater idea (By narrowing down the number of people who deny it from your list) and you will have a better idea to find out who is starting the rumors but it is likely they haven't got the balls to stand here and tell you to your face.

Good luck with this and remember a song by Argent Hold Your Head Up
Once these people have their fun things will simmer down again I am sure.
